Recreational Fishing Development Plan (RFDP)

The Tasmanian Sport Fishing Tourism Development and Marketing Plan, commonly referred to as the RFDP, has now been completed. The RFDP is an initiative of the Recreational Fishing Development Committee (RFDC) with representatives from the Inland Fisheries Service, Hydro Tasmania, Local Government, Tourism Tasmania , Anglers Alliance, Trout Guides and Lodges Tasmania (TGALT) and the plan consultants

The plan has been researched and written under the auspices of TGALT through the awarding of a tourism development grant by the Australian Government through Aus Industry.

The implementation of the recommendations will be subject to the individual organisations to which they relate and dependant into the future of agreed acceptance and funding availability.

Tthe RFDC will be seeking to develop partnerships and agreements together with funding proposals to implement the prioritised recommendations of the plan.
