The Derwent Project Group’s annual Ragwort Removal Project was again conducted over the weekend at Lake Elizabeth on the eastern side of the Great Lake. AAT was pleased to support this event with 17 Large bags of seed heads collected from flowering plants before they were destroyed. (One large mature plant can produce up to 1/4 million seeds). The work was also supported by the IFS who provided boat transport across the lake for the workers involved.
