Protect the Western Lakes

halls.jpg

Tasmania’s Western Lakes, the remote lakes on the Central Plateau that form a unique, world class brown trout fishery, are under threat from State Govt supported commercial development and helicopter fishing. Fishers and walkers, young and old come to these public lands because of the easy access, isolation, serenity and landscape. The walk into these remote areas is for much more than just the fishing. Helicopters and ‘standing camps’ are absolutely incompatible with such rewarding experiences.
